Partner William Woodland and associate attorney Renee Jensen recently successfully defended the County of Los Angeles against a landlord claim that an apartment building that the County failed to timely remove the building from the Rent Escrow Account Program (REAP) following uncorrected code violations. Plaintiff alleged violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1983 for unlawful seizure of Plaintiff’s rents. The County’s motion to dismiss as to all of Plaintiff’s causes of action was granted.
