David J. Mendoza is an associate in the firm’s Law & Motion department. He has represented clients in malpractice cases, auto accidents, and premises liability. Mr. Mendoza is a part of the Catastrophic Injury Trial Teams and works with multiple insurance carriers to ensure fairness to all insureds at the time of trial. He has had much success with motions preventing improper trial tactics such as the “Reptile Theory” and excluding witnesses and evidence at trial. Mr. Mendoza works collaboratively with trial attorneys to develop case strategies.
Mr. Mendoza has had success with motions for summary judgment in cases involving premises liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. Prior to joining the firm, he defended public entities against cases involving dangerous conditions of public property and inverse condemnation, obtaining dismissal through summary judgment and demurrer. Mr. Mendoza had a demurrer sustained without leave to amend in a major injury case involving jurisdiction over a state highway.
