Elisabeth “Betsy” Hansen is a civil litigation attorney at the firm’s Silicon Valley office. She focuses on advising clients in the areas of complex civil litigation matters including products liability, toxic torts, premises liability, automobile liability, defending insurance companies and private individuals in various civil defense practice areas including personal injury and wrongful death matters.
In her role, Betsy’s extensive experience ensures every task advance her clients’ overall goals. A significant part of her practice is devoted to handling cases from commencement through resolution including all phases of litigation in addition to pleadings, motions, client relations, discovery, expert discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations and pre-trial matters. She has taken and defended hundreds of depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses, physicians and experts and specializes in the medical, liability and damages aspects of cases. She has served as second chair in complex multi-million-dollar toxic tort matters.
In addition, Betsy graduated from Notre Dame de Namur School of Leadership and Education in 2013. She also holds a CA teaching credential in social science.

Betsy is originally from San Jose, CA. Outside the office, Betsy enjoys spending time with her family and dog and she loves to travel, hike, bike and read.
