Mark F. Didak

Mark F. Didak is a 40+ year civil litigator and insurance coverage attorney at the firm.  Handling cases from intake through appeal, his experience includes insurance coverage and bad faith, legal and medical malpractice, malicious prosecution, personal injury, employment, consumer class actions, fidelity and surety, and actions under various statutory schemes including the Unfair Competition Law, the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, the Americans With Disabilities Act, the Private Attorney Generals Act, and the False Claims Act.  He has also acted as general counsel to the Escrow Agents’ Fidelity Corporation, and drafted and successfully lobbied passage of a substantial recodification of its governing provisions of the California Financial Code.

Mr. Didak has represented insurers in claims with a combined exposure of more than one billion dollars, including very high exposure claims of $800 million, $400 million and $220 million.  He has defended hundreds of auto, general liability and professional negligence claims for many of the nation’s largest insurers including The Hartford Companies, AIG Risk Management, National Union, Fidelity & Deposit Company of Maryland, Argonaut Insurance, 21st Century, and USAA, among others.

He was selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer in the fields of Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012; and Consumer Class Actions in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
