Partner Jennifer Russell was inducted as a member of the American Board of Trial Attorneys, Orange County Chapter. She is the firm’s first female ABOTA member. Ms. Russell joins Jeffrey Behar, William Haggerty, James Savage, Patrick Gibbs, Robert Reisinger, Timothy McDonald and Stephen Moore as members of ABOTA.
Associate Todd Becker was named Senior Counsel beginning in 2016. Mr. Becker joined the firm in 2010 and specializes in construction defect litigation.
Associate Margaret Shelton joined the firm in January of 2014. She served on the board of the Barristers section of the Long Beach Bar Association for four years as Secretary, Treasurer, President-Elect and finally, President. She joined the Long Beach Bar Association in 2011 and has served on the Board of Governor’s since 2014. She has also been a member of the Joseph A. Ball/Clarence S. Hunt Inn of Court since 2011 and was a team captain in 2014.
Partner William “Woody” Woodland is Co-Chairman of the Membership Committee for the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. As Co-Chairman, Mr. Woodland is responsible for development of new members to the organization as well as stewarding and maintaining existing membership. He has served with the ASCDC since 2012. The ASCDC is the voice of the Defense bar in Southern California and is dedicated to monitoring and maintaining the rights of defense litigants and attorneys engaged in the practice of civil litigation in State and Federal Courts in California.
Founding partners Jeffrey Behar and William Haggerty were selected to the list of Best Lawyers of California and as Super Lawyers for 2015. Mr. Haggerty was recently elected to membership in the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, joining Mr. Behar as a member of that organization.
