Our firm was retained after significant offers had already been made to the other side and rejected. After retention, we went through a lengthy discovery process and then began trial preparations. One of the key strategies we employed was filing a series of motions in limine to exclude the other side’s retained experts and also highlighting their failure to produce the necessary documentation in discovery and witnesses for depositions. By strategically focusing on these weaknesses, we were able to obtain favorable pretrial rulings which significantly undermined the foundation of their case. The Court ruled largely in our favor, and excluded retained experts, documents and witnesses from the other side’s case. As a result of our success in the motions in limine, the other side was left without key expert testimony, weakening their position significantly. This quickly led to a settlement for exactly the amount that had been offered before we were retained. This outcome highlighted our ability to quickly evaluate the case, uniquely tailor our defense strategy , and secure the best possible result for our client.
